A puffball the size of my hand: Channel Islands, California, April 2013
The puffballs of Svalbard: Longyearbyen, July 2013
My name is Rachel, and I love to sew as I go! In this corner of the Internet, I hope to record some of my accomplishments, and hopefully also the meanderings, wrong turns and pitfalls on the way to each completed project. I believe that creating things is quite a bit like travel: you may have some idea of what you want to see or do, but once you leave the threshold of your home, any unanticipated adventure could change the course of your plans. And this is the point at which things get really exciting, and you can sometimes even stumble upon something as rare and delightful as a surprise. Personally, I love reading other people's notes on creative process almost as much as I enjoy a good adventure story, because that element of discovery is always there. If you also enjoy sewing, knitting, baking or adventures, you just might find some stories here. Let me know if you like what you read!
